I’ll let you in on a little secret: there is magic in the world.

While all of us have felt it, identifying it and accessing it is another story altogether. A magical feeling might come on like an unexpected wave, only to dissipate again – without name or indication. At the same time, what makes you feel alive is often different than what makes me feel alive. Yet, such ponderings hold little weight.
What really matters is that meaningful experiences are available to us. This is something only life can teach you.
No matter your age, our identities are shaped by those impactful experiences that resonate deep within our souls. A single fleeting moment can be enough to change the trajectory of your life. When there is magic involved, it might change your entire identity.
Leaving yourself open to possibilities is the key to having peak experiences. For some people, stillness is the most direct path for unlocking meaningful moments. Others create new possibilities through engagement. For me, life feels the richest when I balance stillness and action.
Something as simple as having a slow morning can be enough to change my perspective on the day. Other times, I yearn for creative pursuits, deep conversations, and grand adventures. It doesn’t matter if your embodiment comes from quiet or action. I’ve found time and again that the present mind is the only mind that has anything to give.
True presence requires openness, inquisitiveness, and curiosity. If you can hold this intention in your mind, a great shining light will eventually break through even its darkest corners.

I’ve found that no matter how much magic might be hiding in the background, life is still really hard.
For me, even the brightest and sunniest days are easily overtaken by dark clouds of fear, anger, and confusion. As I experience these emotions, sometimes I feel like I’m living in a half-illumined world – an endless twilight. Important details are easily overlooked or lost. I’ve had times where weeks and months fly by, where each day seems to bleed into the next.
When every day looks and feels the same, my life blurs together into an endless stream that extends over the horizon in both directions. Amidst this flow of nameless time, days begin to lose their meaning, one stretching into the next, undecipherable.
Luckily, there is another way to live.

Freedom and inspiration represent the ability to dream and the willingness to do so.
Based on the writings of myself, Kasey Green, The Space Between is a blog dedicated to reclaiming agency and awareness in a world that constantly demands our attention.
This blog shares my ideas, reflections, stories, and adventures, with hopes of helping you unlock deeper meaning in your daily life. One blog post might investigate an interesting idea like creativity in nature, while another is a travel piece.
The Space Between celebrates the fact that meaning isn’t found in some future version of yourself. It’s hidden in the world we already inhabit, only to be found with curiosity, creativity, and presence.
“When you are willing to look deeply inside and ask the bigger questions, the details tend to work themselves out. The key to a full life is simply living it.”

When you take a chance, it opens the door for magic to enter your life. At the same time, unexpected challenges may slyly sneak in…

You would be amazed at how big a change you can make in your life by simply dropping something that isn’t necessary.
